A 21kW solar array paired with three Tesla Powerwalls, producing up to 100kWh per day for a home built around energy independence.
This homeowner wanted to get as close to energy independence as possible without fully disconnecting from PG&E. We designed a 21kW rooftop array — large enough to cover heavy daily usage and fully recharge three Tesla Powerwalls even on shorter winter days.
Three Powerwalls gave us enough battery capacity to run the home almost entirely on stored solar, with the grid kept as a backup rather than the primary power source. On strong-sun days the system produces up to 100kWh, comfortably covering the home's usage with capacity to spare.
Because the design is hybrid rather than a true off-grid disconnect, the homeowner still has PG&E as a fallback, but rarely needs to draw from it.
14.52kW · 40kWh EnphaseA 14.52kW solar array spread across a complex, multi-facet roof, paired with four Enphase IQ Battery 10C units for 40kWh of whole-home storage.
6.7kW + 15kWh6,700W solar array paired with 15kWh of battery storage, designed to keep an entire Bay Area home running through a PG&E outage.
17 panels + EVA 17-panel Enphase microinverter system installed on a concrete tile roof, with a Level 2 EV charger added for overnight vehicle charging.
A 23.4kW ground-mount solar array engineered for a sloped, wooded lot, paired with three FoxESS batteries for 59.55kWh of whole-property storage.
